ARTECO Video Management System Becomes SELECT Certified by Intransa

Cupertino, CA — August 6, 2012
Intransa, the physical security infrastructure and services company, announced that ARTECO, a market leader in video security applications, is Intransa SELECT certified and available as an option on its video-optimized server, storage and appliance platforms.
ARTECO's elite video management system (VMS), ARTECO-SERVER, has been tested and is INTRANSA SELECT certified for use on the Intransa EnterpriseServer and VideoAppliance. ARTECO- SERVER performs real-time event management and alerts users with visual, audible and remote notifications, organizes and stores vital event information in the event log and allows multiple users to acknowledge events on demand.
“Intransa's SELECT certification is synonymous with customer ease-of-use,” said Steve Birkmeier, vice president of U.S. Operations, ARTECO. “Being Intransa tested and certified allows ARTECO to provide new, reliable and scalable options for our customers who benefit from the many powerful features of the ARTECO-SERVER family of products.”
The ARTECO VMS system has been engineered to maximize resources with 100 percent channel customization for frames per second and provides resolution across three completely independent video streams for acquisition, display, and recording. Its video architecture allows organizations to customize video security resources based on what is important instead of compromising to a one-size-fits-all approach.
“ARTECO offers a unique product offering that brings new opportunities to security integrators and the video network administrators who are deploying new video surveillance systems,” said Randy Petersen, manager, technical marketing, Intransa. “Intransa is committed to bringing solutions like this certified with our infrastructure platforms to make deployments easier and ongoing operation less complicated.”
Pretesting with 3rd party security applications, such as ARTECO's VMS, helps to identify interoperability, performance and integration challenges in advance of installation at a customer site. Intransa's video- optimized VideoApplianceEnterpriseServer andEnterpriseStorage platforms are designed to eliminate the challenges of untested commodity servers and storage designed for IT. Each is built for the 24x7x365 world of video surveillance and other demanding physical security project requirements and integrate with the company's portfolio of cloud-based support and management services.
Proven by thousands of customers for their surveillance projects, Intransa's award-winning infrastructure platforms and cloud services leverage patented software technology, hardware tuning and video optimization.
